Our purpose is simply to encourage the Body of Christ. This process involves Bible based practical teachings and exhortation regarding all that is available to us in Christ. Vibrant, victorious and productive lives are the expected result.
For example we believe in “Faith Righteousness.” In our opinion that it is an effort in futility to try to make ourselves right with God through our own works, abilities and talents. In fact scripture says it is a sin to try and establish our own righteousness. We believe that a person receives “Christ’s righteousness” as a gift when that person accepts Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord. This is the position that the Apostle Paul stood on over and over again.
On the other side of the balance, we also believe that we were created by God for good works. It is abundantly clear that God expects fruit from our lives. But we do the works because of what we already are; not to qualify ourselves with God, we are already qualified by God. God wants us to do works under His direction and with His power and ability. In other words as we willingly yield and follow His directions, we will experience equipping and provisioning for all aspects of our God given assignments. It is not all that hard, because these works automatically happen as a byproduct of our ongoing relationship with Christ Jesus.
We believe that God is a God of peace and that He wants us to experience and to live in peace. We believe that God places a very high priority on peace. We believe that God has made a Covenant of Peace with mankind. Or in New Testament vernacular He has given us a Gospel of Peace. Jesus is the Prince of Peace, when He was born the angels proclaimed God’s desire “Peace on earth, good will toward men.”
We believe the Bible, as written in its original language, is God’s infallible revelation to mankind. It is a message of His deep love for mankind. We believe that the Bible is the final authority. We believe that as one accepts the Bible as truth, that God will bring revelation and understanding regarding the truth that is accepted.
We believe that there is only one God and that God is expressed through the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe that God who has always existed, that He is eternal. We believe that He created the universe and that He holds it together.
We believe that Jesus Christ is totally God and totally man. That he came to this earth as a man with a physical human body. We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin and that He lived a sinless life. He came to earth to show us what God was like and to be the Savior of mankind. We believe that on the cross He took the consequences of our sinful lives upon Himself and then gave us the consequences of His holy and pure life. He has fully met the requirement as the beneficiary of the New Covenant. When we accept and confess Him as our Lord, we can the receive the benefits that He obtained (through His death, burial and resurrection), as a spouse would in marriage.
We believe that the gifts and offices of the Holy Spirit are applicable to all of the church age, which includes the present. We believe that people are of enormous value to God and that one of the Holy Spirit’s roles is to enable us to clearly communicate value to the people around us. We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers willing believers to live out their lives in Christ Jesus. This will naturally result in godly and evangelistic lifestyles.
We believe that believers should meet together regularly and that these meetings should facilitate loving God and loving others. We also believe that this community should reach out and bring others into a loving personal relationship with God.
We believe that every believer is a minister and is gifted by God to accomplish ministry. We believe a sense of fulfillment and peace comes when a person steps out into the ministries that God has given a person. This ministry could be simple as sharing your experience with God to an acquaintance, washing the dishes, loving others and so forth. We believe God needs and wants His people operating in all segments of society, this includes family, education, media, business, industry, military, government, church and entertainment.
We believe that the church consist of all believers in Christ Jesus. Believers are those who have placed their confidence in the finished work of Jesus and the resulting personal relationship that they have with God. They are the ones who have believed God’s report and have confessed and made Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior.
We believe Christ is presently seated and the right hand of God; and that He will return and when He does there will be two judgements. One judgement will be for believers, where rewards will be given based on how they have lived their lives. The other judgment will be for unbelievers, where they will be judged based on their own works.
